The Fantic 125 youngsters are on a roll. At the first round of the Rookies Cup in Montevarchi, Simone Mancini and Noel Zanocz won a race each with the Italian conquering the top step of the podium in front of his teammate.
Following the stunning 1-2 in the European Championship in France, Fantic Factory Racing EMX125 headed to Montevarchi for the season opener of the Rookies Cup, a highly competitive series for young and promising riders on their 125 cc machines held alongside the Italian Motocross Prestige Championship.
Noel Zanocz – carrying the #1 plate on the Fantic XX 125 as defending champion – was off to a fast start. He clinched the pole position and went on to win race 1 in front of his teammate Simone Mancini. In the second moto, it was the young Italian’s turn to take the holeshot and race lead. Zanocz was following closely in second but lost ground after a small contact and crossed the finish line in third. Mancini took the race and overall victory with Zanocz on the second step of the podium.

“Top performance by our guys at the Italian Championship in Montevarchi. It was a good test as well with a tricky track after the rain but both our riders showed impressive speed and determination, collecting 1-2 and 1-3 results in the two motos. Simone and Noel are in excellent shape, as a team we are very happy with the work we are doing and we head to Latvia for the next EMX125 round in two weeks’ time with good hopes.”
DOPPIETTA FANTIC CON MANCINI E ZANOCZ ALLA ROOKIES CUP
Continua il dominio Fantic nella 125cc anche all’apertura stagionale della Rookies Cup. A Montevarchi, Simone Mancini e Noel Zanocz hanno conquistato una vittoria di manche a testa, con il marchigiano sul gradino più alto del podio davanti al suo compagno di squadra ungherese.
Dopo la fantastica doppietta all’Europeo 125 in Francia, il team Fantic Factory Racing EMX125 si è spostato al Miravalle di Montevarchi per il primo appuntamento stagionale della Rookies Cup, competizione riservata alle giovani promesse che affianca il massimo campionato italiano di motocross.
Il campione in carica Noel Zanocz si è messo subito in mostra con la pole position e la vittoria in gara 1, mentre Simone Mancini ha concluso la prima manche alle spalle del suo compagno di squadra in seconda posizione. La seconda manche invece ha visto l’holeshot di Mancini in sella alla Fantic XX 125 con Zanocz che si è trovato ad inseguire. Un piccolo contatto di gara ha fatto perdere terreno alla tabella rossa dell’Europeo che ha tagliato il traguardo in terza posizione. Nella classifica di giornata ha trionfato Mancini con Zanocz secondo assoluto.

“Grande prestazione per i nostri ragazzi nel Campionato Italiano a Montevarchi. È stato un ottimo banco prova, la pista era impegnativa fin dal sabato a causa delle piogge ma entrambi si sono dimostrati velocissimi e determinati raccogliendo un primo e un secondo posto nella prima manche del sabato e un primo e terzo nella giornata di domenica. I piloti sono in forma, come team siamo molto contenti del lavoro che stiamo svolgendo e tra due settimane andremo in Lettonia per la prossima tappa del Campionato Europeo con ottime prospettive.”
