Noel Zanocz received the silver medal at the 2024 Italian International Championship.
The second and final round of the Italian International MX Championship took place in Mantova and was featured by heavy rain that fell the days before the race and made the sandy track very tricky and demanding. The circuit also had many deep grooves that increased the level of difficulty.
The young riders of the Fantic Factory Racing EMX125 team attended the race after the excellent performance registered in Sardinia.
Because of the high number of riders enrolled in the race, they were divided into two groups. Simone Mancini and Douwe Van Mechgelen joined the first one. Simone’s race pace was very fast despite the demanding conditions of the track and the rider was able to set the fifth time. Douwe, who is still recovering from a bad injury, followed his teammate and qualified with the sixth place. Noel Zanocz, who was in the other group and had the red plate displayed on his bike, set an excellent second time.
Simone pulled away at the start of the first moto and took the lead of the race but was forced to leave the race because of a technical issue. Noel Zanocz did not see a perfect start but managed to reach third place. Unfortunately, a rival hit him so Noel crashed but he did not give up and worked his way up and finished fifth. Douwe Van Mechgelen was the author of a flawless race and qualified sixth.
Great start of race 2 for Zanocz, who moved to third after the first corner but slipped and lost ground dropping to tenth place. The Hungarian rider was the fastest rider on track for most of the session and this allowed him to recover several positions till the second place, which he kept till the finish line. Simone Mancini was forced to retire also from this heat. Douwe Van Mechgelen was the author of another solid performance and qualified eighth.
Thanks to the results achieved in the two motos Noel Zanocz was third overall and second in the Championship standings.

Noel was amazing and was the fastest on track; if it wasn’t for those little mistakes, we could have battled it out for the title. Mancini did not have the chance to show his skills but showed the high level he’s at. Douwe can improve but he’s on the right track. Noel showed he could be a contender for the 125 Title. We still have some time to get ready for the first race of the European Championship”.

Secondo e ultimo appuntamento per gli Internazionali d’Italia Mx che si sono tenuti a Mantova, le forti piogge dei giorni precedenti alla gara hanno reso il fondo sabbioso molto pesante e nel corso della giornata si sono creati profondi canali alzando il livello di difficoltà.
Presenti a questa gara i giovanissimi ragazzi del Fantic Factory Racing EMX125 che arrivano a questo appuntamento dopo l’ottima prestazione della Sardegna.
I piloti sono stati divisi in due gruppi a causa del numero elevato di piloti iscritti, nel primo gruppo sono scesi in pista Simone Mancini e Douwe Van Mechgelen. Simone ha fatto vedere una grande velocità in condizioni di pista molto pesante andando a far segnare il quinto tempo, Douwe che sta riprendendo il ritmo dopo il lungo infortunio ha chiuso alle sue spalle con la sesta piazza. Nell’altro gruppo Noel Zanocz che aveva sulla sua moto la tabella rossa di leader ha ottenuto un ottimo secondo tempo.
Al via della prima manche Simone parte subito fortissimo prendendo la testa della gara ma purtroppo a causa di un piccolo problema tecnico è stato costretto al ritiro. Noel Zanocz dopo una partenza non proprio perfetta era riuscito a portarsi in terza posizione quando un avversario lo ha centrato facendolo cadere, Noel non si è perso d’animo e con una buona rimonta è risalito fino alla quinta finale. Buona prestazione per Douwe Van Mechgelen grazie ad una gara senza commettere errori è sesto.
Buona partenza in gara 2 per Zanocz che alla prima curva è in terza posizione, ma una scivolota lo ha fatto retrocedere fino al decimo posto, il pilota Ungherese è stato per gran parte della gara il più veloce in pista e questo ha fatto in modo che potesse recuperare molte posizioni fino alla seconda piazza che ha tenuto fino sotto la bandiera a scacchi. Simone Mancini anche in questa seconda manche è stato costretto al ritiro. Douwe Van Mechgelen grazie ad un’altra buona prestazione ha ottenuto l’ottavo posto.
Noel Zanocz con i risultati delle due manche ottiene il terzo posto di giornata e il secondo posto assoluto in campionato.
Daniele Marchese:”Siamo molto contenti della prestazione che hanno messo in mostra i nostri ragazzi in questa giornata. Noel è stato molto bravo dimostrando di essere il più veloce in pista e se non fosse stato per qualche piccolo errore avremmo potuto giocarci fino in fondo la lotta per il titolo. Mancini non ha potuto dimostrare in gara la sua bravura dimostrando di essere ad un ottimo livello, Douwe deve crescere ma siamo sulla buona strada.. Noel ha dimostrato di poter essere un pretendente per il titolo della 125, abbiamo ancora un po’ di tempo per prepararci al meglio alla prima gara di Europeo.”
